The Hot Plate
More info
The Hot Plate warms your phone or tablet with real CPU and GPU load. Set a target on the dial, choose a duration, then press START — the screen fades to plate mode so you can rest something on it. Keep the screen on and brightness high for the best result. Heating stops automatically at the end of the timer or when the battery runs low.
Heating uses real CPU + GPU load
The app that warms your phone
The Hot Plate turns your phone or tablet into a pocket hand warmer. Set a temperature on the oven-style thermostat, choose a timer, press start, and the app drives real CPU and GPU work so your device heats up gradually and holds that warmth. No account, no ads — it runs straight from your browser or from the home-screen app. Useful as a phone hand warmer in winter, to keep your hands warm on a walk, to warm a pocket, or simply as a curiosity.
Does it damage the phone?
No. The app stays well under the temperatures your device already reaches while gaming or charging, and it stops on its own when the timer ends or the battery gets low. Your phone also has its own thermal protection, which throttles performance long before anything can be harmed.
How much battery does it use?
Heating costs energy, so expect a drain comparable to playing a demanding 3D game. Using a short timer, or keeping the device plugged in, is the best way to warm up without emptying the battery.
Does it work with the screen locked?
The app keeps the screen awake while heating so the browser does not suspend the work. If you lock the device manually, heating pauses and resumes when you come back.
How hot does it get?
The thermostat runs from off up to a maximum around 45 °C of estimated surface temperature. The reading is a model of the heat produced, not a hardware sensor — phones do not expose their thermal sensors to web apps.
